FAQ and Policy

Please feel free to ask questions about any of the policies below.

Are you a farm?

Yes. Roza View Farm was officially inspected and certified by the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) as of 2025.

What is your virus policy?

It is widely recognized that a large percentage of dahlias currently in circulation carry some form of virus. Purchasing dahlia tubers from any source carries inherent risk, and we do not test our tubers for virus.

We take reasonable steps to mitigate risk, including sanitizing cutting tools between each variety and closely monitoring plants throughout the growing season. Plants that appear clearly suspicious are culled.

We do not remove plants for minor cosmetic issues such as small leaf blemishes or slight curling. If you are seeking virus-tested or guaranteed virus-free dahlias, we respectfully recommend purchasing from a seller who offers that level of assurance.

What are your shipping costs?

Flat Rate Shipping: We offer a flat rate of $18.00 per customer via USPS, regardless of the number of orders placed, so long as you use the combined shipping code after your first order.

Do you combine shipping?

How to Combine: Pay for shipping on your first order. For all subsequent orders, use the code COMBINE26 at checkout to waive additional shipping fees.

Automatic Bundling: As long as the COMBINE26 code is used AND the orders share the same mailing address, they will be combined automatically.

No Email Necessary: Our system tracks these codes and addresses automatically. You do not need to email us to request that your orders be combined; we will handle the bundling on our end.

Important: Failure to use the combine code at the time of checkout will be at the cost of the customer. Shipping fees will not be refunded or retroactively adjusted after the sale has concluded. Please ensure the code is applied before finalizing your subsequent transactions.

How do you package the tubers?

This year, all tubers will be packed in one eco-friendly bag to save time and reduce waste. While this may not suit everyone's preferences, it allows us to pick and ship orders more efficiently.

What is your shipping time frame?

Commencement of shipping to the warmest climates is scheduled for the week of March 23rd. Kindly refrain from contacting us for specific ship dates, as we are not able to fulfill special requests.

What will my tubers look like?

Dahlia tubers are living plant material and may resemble small, oddly shaped potatoes. Minor cosmetic imperfections such as small nicks or irregularities are normal.

We grow our dahlias in challenging conditions: a relatively short growing season and rocky ground. Due to these factors, you may notice that our tubers are smaller than the "industry standard."

  • Viability over Size: We guarantee that every tuber shipped has at least one viable eye. Tuber size does not dictate the size or health of the plant or the beauty of the blooms.
  • Buyer Acceptance: By purchasing from this sale, you acknowledge that the tubers are smaller than usual. If this is not to your liking, we respectfully ask that you do not shop this sale.

Will you be selling cuttings?

To be determined. If cuttings are offered, pricing will include the cost of the cutting plus whatever the going rate is for UPS 2nd Day Air shipping.

Do you offer refunds?

Orders must be inspected within 24 hours of delivery, beginning when USPS marks the package as delivered. If we do not hear from you within this timeframe, the order will be considered accepted.

If an issue is identified within 24 hours:

  • You must email us and include clear photos of the concern
  • Due to limited inventory, replacements are unlikely
  • Approved refunds will cover the cost of the tuber only; shipping is non-refundable

No refunds are offered for:

  • Tubers that rot during customer storage
  • Damage caused by USPS (claims must be filed by the purchaser)
  • Weather-related issues after delivery

In cases of confirmed storage failure on our end, the cost of the tuber will be refunded.

Where do your photos come from?

All photos are taken on the property where the dahlias are grown. Please do not copy or reproduce images without prior permission.

Are there limits on tubers?

Yes, to ensure fairness for all our customers and to share our limited stock as widely as possible, we maintain strict quantity limits on high-demand varieties.

  • Limit 1 Per Variety: All dahlia varieties priced at $20.00 or higher are strictly limited to one (1) tuber per variety, per household. * Zero-Tolerance Policy: Orders will be canceled in full if limits are not honored, regardless of the situation. We do not offer partial cancellations; if an order contains multiples of a restricted variety, the entire order will be voided and refunded.
  • Inventory Security: Items in your cart are not reserved. Your order is only confirmed once you have completed the checkout process and received a confirmation email. In high-traffic sales, it is possible for an item to sell out while it is in your cart.

Customer Conduct

We strive to operate with transparency, kindness, and respect. We reserve the right to refuse service in cases of harassment, public disparagement, or disrespectful behavior. If our policies or approach are not a good fit, we kindly encourage you to shop with another grower.
