A Little About Roza View Farm
Roza View Farm is a small 5.5-acre farm tucked into Yakima County, Washington, just outside the town of Selah. It’s a quiet, grounding place shared with alpacas, goats, dogs, cats, and a whole lot of growing things—our own pocket of calm.
My love of gardening started early, growing up on a cattle farm where vegetable rows and flower beds were simply part of everyday life. I’ve been a lifelong vegetable and flower gardener, but everything shifted in the spring of 2020 when I planted my very first dahlias. What began as curiosity quickly became a deep appreciation for a flower that rewards patience, care, and presence.
Where Mental Health & Nature Meet: By profession, I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and mental health is at the core of both my work and my life. Growing dahlias has become one of the most meaningful ways I care for my own mental well-being—offering a place to slow down, regulate, and reconnect.
Throughout the season, I bring fresh blooms into my workplace to share with staff and patients alike. The response is always the same: a pause, a smile, a moment of calm. Those small moments matter. Flowers create connection, soften hard days, and quietly remind us that beauty and growth are still happening, even during difficult seasons.
Our Community & Values: My husband, Jeff, is my biggest supporter and my honest flower critic as the garden grows. When we aren't tending to the dahlias, we are avid supporters of Seattle sports; no matter the season, you can usually find us cheering on our favorite home teams.
Beyond the blooms, we believe in cultivating a world where everyone can thrive. Roza View Farm stands firmly in support of human rights and equality for all. 💞 🌈 ⚖️ ✊✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 Our farm is a place where mental health, nature, and beauty meet, with dahlias grown to carry care and calm beyond the field.
Thank you for being here and for supporting this small farm.
